Our History

New Rhoads Transportation Inc, the parent company of Rhoads Limousine, has a long family history in school bus transportation, which dates as far back as 1928.

David F. Kutz, grandfather of Steve and Sally Rhoads, started with only three buses in 1928, transporting school students in Amity Township (which eventually became a large part of what is now Daniel Boone Area School District). David continued in the farming and busing industry until his death in the spring of 1964. After his passing, David's daughter, Elizabeth and her husband, Jay S. Rhoads, purchased the buses and continued to operate and grow the business until 1999.

A True Family-Owned Business

In 1999, New Rhoads Transportation Inc was formed by Steve Rhoads, the son of Elizabeth and Jay, who became President of the company.
In the early 2000’s, Sally Rhoads came on board to help manage the day-to-day operations of the business. The company continues to grow and expand its services, as its sister company Rhoads Limousine was added in 2004. It allows us to better service the varied transportation needs of the surrounding communities around the Douglassville, PA area.
